Community Centre 55 is closed on December 24th and 31st so the East End DA group has made these alternate meeting arrangements for those weeks:

• On Thursday, December 23rd at 6:30 pm, we will meet at Timothy’s at Sherbourne and Bloor.
• On Sunday, January 2 at 1:00 pm, we will meet at Community Centre 55.

Everyone is welcome.

There are two BDA step study groups beginning in January 2011. Each will last 14 weeks and require a solid commitment. Please contact us for more details and the commitment letter.

The DA Michigan Intergroup is running a five-week recovery workshop modeled after the AA Back to Basics program. Sessions begin on Tuesday, December 7, 2010, and will take place over the telephone.

The Spending Plan Workshop
When: Sat. Oct 23 from 12:30-4:00 p.m.
Where: 519 Church St at Wellesley, Room 304

There will be a 7th Tradition donation

We suggest you bring:

1. Your present Spending Plan, if you have one
2. Your numbers such as your monthly income and bills
3. Your daily or weekly Spending Records
4. Any plans, dreams or visions you have for yourself
5. If you have the info on your debts, bring it along
6. If you have only a few numbers, that’s fine. You’ll get good ideas about how to think through a Spending Plan, and you can plug in numbers with the help of a PRG (Pressure Relief Group) or a sponsor at a later date.
7. Also, bring a calculator, pencil and paper

12:30-12:55 – Introduction/Welcome (Room 304)
1:00-1:45 – Panel Presentations – several DA members sharing ESH around their own Spending Plans (Room 304)
1:50-2:20 – Questions, Break, Divide into groups
2:25-3:35 – Workshop 1: Do Your Own Spending Plan with Help (Rooms 204, 303, 304)
3:40-4:00 – Sharing, Feedback, Clean up

The DA meeting in Brantford is moving to a new location as of this Thursday, August 26, 2010.

Meetings will be held on Thursdays at 8:00 p.m. at Church of the Nazarene, 347 Fairview Drive, Brantford. Wheelchair accessible. Free parking. Enter via the front doors.

The 519 Centre is closed on Sat July 3 due to Pride weekend.
We have arranged another location:

Bloor Street United Church
300 Bloor Street West.
The Music Room

Half way between St. George and Spadina Subway Stations
Paid parking available in the church parking lot.

You may enter at 300 Bloor or the parking lot entrance at 470 Huron St.

Meeting is usual time 10:30 a.m.
We have the room from 10:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

There will no BDA meeting on Thursday, July 1st, 2010, due to the Canada Day holiday.

The East End DA group will be meeting on Tuesdays instead of Fridays, beginning with the meeting on Tuesday, June 29 and ending with the meeting on Tuesday, August 31.

Due to a street festival happening in the vicinity of the House this Sunday our group is unable to use the meeting room. In light of the short notice we are not able to make alternative arrangements. Meetings will resume next week on Sunday, June 27.
